Police Officer Hurt in Serious Old Westbury Crash

A Nassau County Police Highway Patrol officer was injured in a single-car crash on Glen Cove Road late Monday night in Old Westbury, New York.

Nassau County Police and Old Westbury Police responded to Glen Cove Road near The Pines for a police involved collision at around 11pm Monday night. Officials say that the officer sustained serious, but non life-threatening injuries from the crash. The officer was taken to a local area hospital in a serious condition.

Officials are investigating the events that led up to the crash. Poor weather conditions are believed to be a contributing factor.
