Plane Crashes, Injures 2 at Long Island Airport

Two people were hospitalized after a plane crashed in a Long Island airport in East Farmingdale, New York on Sunday night.

Just before 9pm Sunday night multiple agencies responded to Republic Airport in East Farmingdale, New York for a plane that crash landed inside the property of the airport. The pilot and co-pilot were injured as a result of the crash. East Farmingdale firefighters responded onto the runway to deal with a fuel spill from the plane.

There were no other passengers aboard the plane according to sources at the scene.

There is no word on what caused the crash at this time. The FAA and NTSB are currently investigating the crash.
