Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Struck By Car In Valley Stream

A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Valley Stream, New York had to be airlifted from the scene late Wednesday morning.

Nassau County Police responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and Valley Stream Boulevard in Valley Stream, New York at around 9:10AM for a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.

The unidentified victim reportedly sustained a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle, according to sources on the scene.

A police helicopter landed in the parking lot at the Arthur J. Hendrickson Pool on W Merrick Road to airlift the victim to a local area hospital.
