Woman Kills Ex-Boyfriends Mom, Injures Him Seriously In Deer Park Double Stabbing
Police responded to Smith Street in Deer Park, New York early Thursday afternoon for a double stabbing that left an 85-year old mother dead and a man seriously injured.
Suffolk County Police Department 1st Precinct officers responded to Smith Street in Deer Park, New York near the intersection of Totten Avenue for a report of a double stabbing at 12:21 PM after receiving a 911 call.
Shaquela Titley, 30, stabbed and killed Marie Mille, the 87-year old mother of Titley’s ex-boyfriend. She was pronounced dead at the home by the Suffolk County Office of the Medical Examiner. Joseph Mille was then stabbed and seriously injured by Titley when he returned home to his residence on Smith Street. He was taken to a local area hospital for surgery as a result of the stabbing, but for “serious, non-life-threatening injuries”, according to Suffolk County Police.
The suspect fled from the scene in a vehicle that ended up being ditched near the dead-end on South 35th Street in Wyandanch, New York.
Suffolk County Police Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine when the first fatal stabbing of the 87-year old took place.
Titley was taken into custody by police in Patchogue at approximately 1:45 PM after fleeing the area. She is charged with Second-Degree Murder. Titley was arraigned at the First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
