Minivan Torched In Front of Massapequa Park Home, 2 Suspects At Large

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY - Police are searching for two suspects wanted for an arson incident that left a Dodge Caravan torched on Mayflower Avenue early Saturday morning.

Nassau County Police and the Massapequa Fire Department responded to Mayflower Avenue at around 1:10AM for reports of a car fire. When emergency services arrived on scene, they found a 2010 Dodge Caravan well-involved with fire.

According to police, the owner looked out his window and saw the vehicle up in flames.

Investigators say that the two suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction and had no description of the suspects readily available.

Officials say that two people poured a flammable liquid on the van before lighting it on fire. A partially empty bottle of what appeared to be gasoline was observed at the scene.
