Man Shot, Suspect at Large In Plainview Shooting

A man was shot in the leg late Monday night in Plainview, New York. Police are still searching for the suspect.

A man was hospitalized after being shot in his vehicle late Monday night in Plainview, New York. Just after 11:30pm, police responded to Round Swamp Road in Plainview for reports of a man shot. After arriving on the scene, it was discovered that the victim was shot in the leg.

Police were seen investigating a parked car that suffered damage and bullet holes from the shooting in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn. Allegedly, the victim was shot in the parking lot and ran across the street to the Cumberland Farm gas station for help.

The victim was transported to a local trauma center in an unknown condition to be treated for the gunshot wound.

Suffolk County Police are investigating the events that led up to the shooting.
