Man Shot Multiple Times Climbs Out of Allegheny River

PITTSBURGH, PA - Pittsburgh Police are investigating two shootings that occurred on Sunday night in North Side, one of which left a shooting victim critically injured after climbing out of the Allegheny River.

Police responded to a local hospital after 11:00PM after a victim walked into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim is in a stable condition, according to police.

Following that call, police received another about a man who was shot multiple times near the intersection of Island Avenue and Preble Avenue. Police say the shooting victim climbed out of the Allegheny River after being critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local area hospital and is in a critical condition.

Police are investigating to determine if these two shooting victims are connected. The investigation is ongoing.
