Late Night Commercial Burglary Sparks Manhunt In Hicksville

HICKSVILLE, NY - A late night burglary at a corner deli on Newbridge Road led police to search nearby areas for the suspects involved late Tuesday night.

Nassau County Police responded to 18 Newbridge Road in Hicksville, New York just before 10:30PM on Tuesday. Responding police officers found that a door to the Deli NY Inc. on the corner of Newbridge Road and West Barclay Street was broken into.

According to sources at the scene, three suspects broke into the business and stole money from the register and beer. Nassau County Police K-9 units responded to the scene to assist with the investigation for the suspects.

Police were seen searching a nearby building at 99 Newbridge Road for the suspects. According to a witness at the scene, the building is a popular place for homeless people in the area to hangout. The Emergency Services Unit responded to the scene to assist officers with a search.

Nassau County Police have not released any additional information on this incident at the time of publication.
