*GRAPHIC* 29-Year Old Motorcyclist Killed In Jericho Crash By Drunk Driver

JERICHO, NY - A 29-year old motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a drunk driver while driving west on Jericho Turnpike late Tuesday night in Jericho.

Nassau County Police responded to Jericho Turnpike near the intersection of Olde Hamlet Drive at about 11:45PM after a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle. The 30-year old driver of a 2021 Kia sedan did not remain at the scene, according to police.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by police medics at 11:52PM.

Nassau County Police say the 30-year old man driving the car that struck the motorcyclist was arrested by police after they found his disabled vehicle near the entrance to the Long Island Expressway.

Police identified the driver as Jordan Solomon, of Forest Hills.

Solomon has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of a Fatality, 2nd Degree Vehicular Manslaughter, and 2nd Degree Assault. He was arraigned at the First District Court in Hempstead, New York on Wednesday.
