Man In Critical Condition After Being Shot In the Head

The NYPD responded to a ShotSpotter detection in Fort Greene late Tuesday night. After arriving on the scene, police found a 26-year-old man who was shot in the head.

A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting in the Fort Green neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York late Tuesday night. NYPD responded to Carlton Avenue and Park Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation nearby. Upon arriving on the scene, NYPD police officers found a man shot in the head inside of a vehicle at 10:19pm.

Police officers urgently requested EMS to respond to the scene while they attempted live-saving measures on the victim. EMS transported the victim to a nearby area hospital in a critical condition.

The investigation into this shooting is currently ongoing.
