19-Year-Old Shot Twice In Brownsville

A 19-year-old is left hospitalized after a late Tuesday night shooting in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, New York. The man was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and is expected to survive.

NYPD responded to Sutter Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville for a reported shooting just before 11:30pm Tuesday night. Police found the victim shot on the sidewalk near a gas station. NYPD requested EMS to respond immediately to the scene to treat the victim. The 19-year-old was shot twice, once in the leg and buttocks, and was transported to a local hospital in a stable condition.

Police found a magazine for a firearm possible used in the shooting nearby, and the NYPD Emergency Service Unit was called to assist in the shooting investigation. A vehicle was stolen nearby after the shooting took place.

The victim reported hearing gunshots and then feeling a pain before he realized he was shot.

The investigation and search for those involved in the shooting is currently ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time, and no suspect information has been given to the NYPD.
