“DOX”, an Island Park bar, has had its liquor license suspended by the State Liquor Authority after COVID-19 related violations were discovered on the property.

The State Liquor Authority has issued a violation for “failing to comply with orders to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

State Liquor Authority investigators say that 235 people were found packed on an outdoor seating area at the restaurant. The outdoor space itself has a legal capacity of only 42 people. Officials have warned the restaurant multiple times over the past few months, both verbally and written.

DOX was the source of many noise and social distancing complaints by residents and visitors of the bar.

The restaurant also received 42 violations.
