Heavy Fire Destroys Bethpage Home

BETHPAGE, NY - Heavy fire ripped through and destroyed a home on N Windhorst Avenue late Sunday afternoon.

Multiple 911 calls were placed after a fire broke out in a Bethpage home on N Windhorst Avenue near the intersection of Sophia Street at 2:55PM. The fire quickly spread through the house and when emergency services arrived on scene, they observed heavy fire and smoke showing.

The Bethpage Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire with the assistance of other volunteer fire departments. The fire was completely extinguished by 3:30PM.

There was nobody inside the house at the time of the fire, according to officials at the scene. There were also no reported injuries at the time of publication for this article.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
