Georgia Man Arrested For Bringing Gun Into Teenager’s Birthday Party
CARLE PLACE, NY - Police arrested a Georgia man after he brought a loaded handgun into a teenager’s birthday party early Sunday morning in the Carle Place Homewood Suites.
Nassau County Police say that officers were called to respond to the Homewood Suites at 40 Westbury Avenue in Carle Place, New York at 1:00AM on Sunday morning to help a person in need of medical assistance.
A party was being held for a 16-year old boy in a hotel room of the Homewood Suites hotel when he suffered a cut to his forehead.
During the party, the arrested man identified as Reginald Dalcime, 40, of Roswell, Georgia, got into an altercation with another party-goer. Police say that’s when Dalcime went to his car and grabbed a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun and brought it back inside the hotel with him. Witnesses at the party helped identify where the gun was and Dalcime was arrested swiftly without any incident.
Nassau County Police have charged Dalcime with 2nd and 3rd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child, 4th Degree Criminal Mischief and Reckless Endangerment.
Dalcime was arraigned on Monday at the First District Court in Hempstead, New York.
