Driver Hurt After Slamming Into Box Truck In Plainview

PLAINVIEW, NY - A driver of a sedan was injured after slamming into a box truck on Old Country Road early Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the intersection of South Oyster Bay Road and Old Country Road before 1:30PM after a sedan rear ended a box truck in the westbound left turn lane of Old Country Road.

The driver was transported to a local area hospital with unknown injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The crash caused heavy traffic delays in the area due to the eastbound lanes of Old Country Road being closed temporarily.
