Construction Worker Rescued After Falling into Hole

Multiple agencies raced to Linden Lane in Glen Head, New York early Monday afternoon to rescue a construction worker that fell down a hole in a residential construction site.

The Nassau County Police Department and East Norwich Fire Department responded for a technical rescue of a construction worker that fell down a hole at around 11:30am. Multiple agencies worked together to bring the injured construction worker out of the hole, which was approximately 15-25 feet deep. The incident happened at a residential construction site on Linden Lane, where the worker fell into the foundation of a house that was under construction.

Crews on the scene requested a helicopter to airlift the victim from the scene. The Nassau County Police helicopter landed nearby the scene and transported the victim to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.

There is currently no word on the condition of the construction worker.
