Car Slams Into Parked Tractor Trailer, Driver Extricated

HAUPPAUGE, NY - A driver had to be extricated from their car after slamming into the back of a parked tractor-trailer on Motor Parkway early Wednesday morning.

First responders received the call for a car under a tractor-trailer at around 12:10AM on Wednesday morning. The collision occurred in front of 941 Motor Pkwy, Hauppauge, NY 11788 after a white Honda Civic left the roadway and crashed into a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder of Motor Parkway.

The force of the crash caused the trailer to intrude almost entirely through the front seats of the Honda.

The victim was extricated from the car at 12:32AM and transported to a local area hospital for further treatment. It is unclear what injuries the driver suffered as a result of the crash or their status currently.

The cause of the crash also is currently unknown.
