Bank Robber Flashes Gun At Teller During Baldwin Robbery

BALDWIN, NY - A man flashed a gun to a bank employee while robbing the Capital One on Grand Avenue late Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the unidentified man entered the Capital One at around 4PM and approached a teller. The man passed a note and verbally demanded money from the teller. It was at that same time that the man flashed a gun that he had on him.

The teller complied and handed the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man fled from the bank.

At the time of the robbery, there were seven employees and one other customer inside the bank. Police report no injuries as a result of the robbery.

Investigators ask anybody with information regarding the bank robbery or suspect involved to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
