73-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed In Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, NY - A 73-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the hospital after being struck by a Toyota SUV while walking on Fulton Street Saturday night.

Police say that at around 8:08PM on Saturday, the 73-year-old woman was walking from the south side of Fulton Street to the north side, just west of Main Street, when she was struck by a Toyota SUV traveling westbound on Fulton Street.

The victim was seriously injured and transported by the Farmingdale Fire Department to a local area hospital in a critical condition. The woman was pronounced dead by hospital staff at 9:08PM.

The driver of the Toyota SUV, an 18-year-old man, remained at the scene, according to officials.

The investigation into this fatal crash is still underway.
