3 Hurt In Serious Crash on Route 110 in Melville

A serious crash left three people injured and forced firefighters to cut at least one person out of their vehicle on Route 110 in Melville, New York early Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 11:10AM, the Melville Fire Department and Suffolk County Police received calls for a traffic collision where at least one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles. The crash occurred in the intersection of Route 110 and Baylis Road in Melville, New York. The fire department was initially notified that the person inside the vehicle was unconscious and possibly not breathing by people at the scene.

Firefighters had to cut the door and roof off of the vehicle where the person was trapped to remove them from the vehicle.

Three people were transported to local area hospitals in an unknown condition as a result of the crash.
