15-Year Old Girl Killed By Drunk Man In Woodmere Crash

A 15-year old girl is dead after a two vehicle crash in Woodmere, New York late Saturday night.

Nassau County Police say a crash between an Audi SUV and a Dodge Ram pickup truck occurred at the intersection of Edward Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard in Woodmere, New York just before 11 PM on Saturday night.

The Audi SUV was carrying 5 passengers, including the 15-year old victim, who was confirmed dead shortly after the crash. All of the other occupants of the SUV were transported to local area hospitals with injuries. One person is listed in a critical condition, according to police.

The Dodge Ram pickup truck had two passengers who were treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, Arlin Javier Aguilera, of West Hempstead, was arrested at the scene and charged with Vehicular Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree, and Driving While Intoxicated, according to Homicide Squad detectives. He will be arraigned on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the First District Court in Hempstead, New York.
