Woman Slashed In Times Square, Suspect At Large

A woman was slashed near the Times Square subway station early Monday afternoon by a suspect that is still on the run.

NYPD responded to reports of a person slashed by a sharp unknown object near the Times Square-42nd Street subway station on Monday at approximately 12:45PM. Police arrived on scene and requested additional units to assist and an ambulance for the victim.

The Times Square-42nd Street station remained shut down as police investigated this slashing.

NYPD are currently looking for a female suspect that fled the area after the slashing and possibly headed towards W 42nd Street and Bryant Park. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage that showed the area during and after the slashing to determine where the suspect fled.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital to be further evaluated for her injuries. Her condition is currently unknown at this time.
