Woman Critical After Being Struck By Van In Valley Stream

VALLEY STREAM, NY - A 61-year old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a van on North Central Avenue late Sunday night.

Nassau County Police say a 2010 Ford Van, driven by a 62-year old man, struck the victim at the intersection of North Central Avenue and Margaret Drive at 9:32PM on Sunday night.

The pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition, according to investigators.

The driver of the van remained at the scene. The investigation is still currently ongoing.

North Central Avenue in the area of Margaret Drive has since been reopened to normal flowing traffic.
