Person Seriously Burned in Jericho Car Fire

Nassau County Police are investigating the circumstances that led up to a person being seriously burned in Jericho, New York late Friday morning.

Shortly after 10am on Friday morning, the Jericho Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department were notified to respond to Jericho Turnpike in Jericho, New York for a report of a car fire. The fire department arrived on the scene and quickly requested the ambulance to hurry into the scene after finding a person with serious burns.

A Nassau County Police aviation unit was requested to respond to the scene to transport the victim quickly, but due to the severity of the burns, the victim was transported on the ground by an ambulance in a hurry.

Nassau County Police and Nassau County Fire investigators are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to this incident.
