Person Pinned After Colliding With Police Car In Hicksville Crash

A patrol car from the Nassau County Police Department was involved in a collision while driving on Newbridge Road in Hicksville, New York late Friday night, which left one occupant trapped in the vehicle.

While patrolling on Newbridge Road in Hicksville, New York at 9:35PM Friday night, a Nassau County Police Department 8th Precinct patrol car was involved in a two car crash near the intersection of Glenbrook Road. A passenger of the vehicle that collided with the police car had to be freed by the Hicksville Fire Department after the door would not open.

Both vehicles sustained substantial damage as a result of the collision. The two police officers inside the police car were not seriously injured as a result of the crash. The passenger of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries after being freed from the SUV.
