Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Montauk Highway Crash

LINDENHURST, NY - A 22-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized in a serious condition after crashing into an SUV at the intersection of Shore Road and Montauk Highway on Monday evening.

Suffolk County Police say that the serious crash occurred at the intersection of Shore Road and Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst, New York at around 5:15PM when the 22-year-old motorcyclist crashed into the side of a 2020 Dodge Durango.

Police say that the Dodge was stopped on Shore Road and attempted to make a left turn into the westbound lanes of Montauk Highway when the Honda motorcycle traveling eastbound crashed into the side of the SUV.

The operator of the Dodge was not injured in the collision.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local area hospital in a serious condition.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, according to officials.
