Motorcyclist Flees After Striking, Seriously Injuring Pedestrian In Lindenhurst

LINDENHURST, N.Y. – A 53-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a motorcycle in a hit-and-run Saturday evening on Strong Avenue near 27th Street.

First responders from Suffolk County Police and the Lindenhurst Fire Department rushed to the scene at 5:58PM, where they found the victim lying in the street with serious injuries.

Officials say the man had been crossing the road when the motorcycle came barreling toward him—striking him before speeding off from the scene.

The motorcyclist never stopped.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Police are actively investigating the crash and are working to identify and locate the motorcyclist responsible for the shocking hit-and-run in the residential neighborhood.
