Intense Late Night Fire Destroys Plainedge Home
PLAINEDGE, NY - Firefighters battled an intense house fire on Cheryl Lane North late Friday night in Plainedge, New York.
Firefighters rushed to a home near the intersection of Cheryl Lane North and East Cheryl Lane in Plainedge, New York at around 11:12PM on Friday night. When crews arrived on scene, the house was heavily involved with flames.

Witnesses say oxygen tanks inside the home were exploding, contributing to the intensity of the blaze.
At least one occupant of the house was evaluated at the scene by emergency medical services. One firefighter was also evaluated at the scene after taking a minor fall while fighting the fire.

The intense fire was under control at 12:30AM according to the Bethpage Fire Department.
