Driver Escapes Serious Injury After Car Flips on Roof

A driver escaped serious injury after his car flipped on its roof during a crash on the Northern State Parkway, early Sunday night.

Multiple agencies responded to a report of an overturned car on the Northern State Parkway at around 7:53pm Sunday night. Nassau County Police officers and New York State Troopers responded onto the Northern State going westbound, just west of South Oyster Bay Road. After arriving on scene, a white sedan was found overturned on its roof in the right westbound lane.

The driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital and not seriously injured as a result from the crash.

Traffic was delayed going westbound for approximately 30 minutes due to the collision bringing traffic down to a single lane.
