Car Overturns, Hits 2 Cars During Lunch Hour Crash

Multiple agencies responded to the intersection of Conklin Street and New Highway in East Farmingdale, New York for a large accident that left a vehicle overturned on its side early Friday afternoon.

Four vehicles were damaged after a vehicle collided with the Nissan SUV in East Farmingdale, New York at around 12:10pm Friday afternoon. The East Farmingdale Fire Company and Suffolk County Police Department responded to the intersection of New Highway and Conklin Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident with reported overturn. After arriving on the scene, it was confirmed that one vehicle was overturned on its drivers side.

According to witnesses at the scene, the vehicle was hit in the back corner in the intersection, causing the car to overturn on its side and start sliding. One witness exclaimed that he believed the vehicle was going to land on his vehicle due to the speed and height the vehicle got before it landed idle on its side.

Two other cars were faced minor damage from the overturned car as it slid into traffic.

The driver of the overturned car was transported to a local area hospital for minor injuries caused by the airbag being deployed in the vehicle. No other injuries were reported from the incident. Traffic was delayed in all directions due to the collision.
