PLAINVIEW, NY - A fully engulfed car fire ignited brush on the side of the southbound lanes of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway, just north of Exit 10 early Friday morning.

Shortly after 12:00AM on Friday morning, Nassau County Police reported a fully involved car fire on the southbound Route 135 shoulder, just north of the Old Country Road exit.

The Plainview and Syosset Fire Departments responded to the scene and quickly battled the flames that were spreading to the area of vegetation separating the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway from the residential neighborhood.
