LONG BEACH, NY - Three Philadelphia men were arrested on auto stripping charges early Wednesday morning after a vigilant resident called 911.

Police officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a call on a city street around 2:30AM for reports of three men using power tools to take parts off of a parked vehicle.

After officers arrived at the scene, they located the described vehicle provided by the vigilant caller and initiated a traffic stop. Long Beach Police officials say that the caller provided a description of the men that helped officers determine that they were involved. In addition to the description, officers were able to observe power tools and a jagged piece of a metal exhaust pipe that were clearly visible in the vehicle.

All three Philadelphia men were arrested and charged with criminal mischief and auto stripping.

The arrested men were identified by police as Ismil Williams, 32, Blain Hall, 32, and Troy Lynch, 33.

These arrests were part of five separate arrests that proactive Long Beach Police officers made within only hours of each other on Wednesday for various other charges.
