3 Car Crash Causes Delays In Merrick

MERRICK, NY - One person needed to be cut from a vehicle by the fire department after being involved in a three-car crash on Merrick Road late Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to Merrick Road in the vicinity of the Meadowbrook State Parkway after a three-car crash occurred at around 2:10PM.

Emergency services at the scene confirmed that there was one person that was pinned inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Firefighters were able to use their tools and extricate the victim from the vehicle. An ambulance was also requested to respond urgently for one of the injured people at the crash.

Merrick Road has since reopened and normal traffic has resumed in the area.

It is currently unknown what the extent of the injuries are.
