Woman Arrested After Car Hits Tree, DUI Suspected

A driver was taken arrested after a collision with a tree late Monday night in Pittsburgh.

A woman was taken into Pittsburgh Police custody late Monday night after colliding with a tree. Pittsburgh Police and Paramedics responded to the scene of a serious collision that left a sedan totaled.

Pittsburgh Paramedics treated two passengers in the vehicle that received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the collision. The driver was uninjured.

Police officers on the scene of the crash administered a “field sobriety test” to determine if the driver was intoxicated while driving. The female driver of the totaled sedan failed the sobriety test and was arrested under suspicion of driving while under the influence.
